Dear Governor Allen,

I trust this letter finds you well and in good spirits. This letter is long overdue and for that I humbly apologize.

I simply wish to offer you my continued support as a tax-paying citizen of this great Commonwealth. One who does not have to have his liberties snatched away from him to appreciate the beauty that is America.

I supported you during your campaign as a member of your citizens committee. I voted for you and Mr. Farris and Gilmore because I believe you will do the right thing for all Virginians. I wish for you to know that I will continue to support you with word and deed whenever you call upon me.

You are receiving much heat now from the Democrats, their lobbyists, and an unfriendly press. I know that you will respectfully ignore their carping and whining and keep your eye on the goal. Rest assured that there are many more of those who are behind you and beside you in your fight. Do not be deterred.
