Floyd's Opinion
Bliley CongratulationsThis was written on January 16, 1995.
The Honorable Thomas J. Bliley, Jr. Dear Congressman Bliley, I trust this letter finds you well and in good spirits. This letter is long overdue and for that I humbly apologize. I simply wish to express to you my congratulations on your re-election and further on your appointment as chairman of the Commerce committee. I truly believe that there is no representative more deserving of that honor than you, Sir. I had been lamenting in recent years that I would never see a Republican majority in the congress in my lifetime. I had truly begun to give up hope for America and what the future held for it’s citizens. Today I feel uplifted and positive once again. I believe that you and your fellow Republicans can accomplish great things if you simply live up to your promises. Please know that I will continue to stay in touch with you and keep up with legislation as it is proposed. Those of us who treasure our liberty understand that we must ever be vigilant against those who would attempt to take away our rights as Americans. I will close now offering, once again, my congratulations and support. Please Sir, know me to be, yours for liberty, Floyd C. Bayne
