Floyd's Opinion
George Allen and the Clinton Gun BanSeptember 7, 2003 The Honorable George F. Allen U.S. Senate Washington, D.C. 20510-0001 Dear Senator Allen, I trust this letter finds you well. I write to you regarding my concern over your obvious desire to ignore your solemn vow to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States. Specifically I am referring to your stated intent to support the renewal of the Clinton Gun Ban of 1994 when it comes up again. I must tell you that as someone who has supported your political career with my vote I was more than a little surprised at your unwillingness to protect the 2nd amendment. I must now assure you that should you harbor further political aspirations you will not have my vote unless you immediately make an about-face on this matter. I will be watching when the time comes for you to vote on this matter and I have a very good memory. I hope that you will have the courage to simply admit that you have been mistaken thus far and do the right thing. In closing I will thank you for what I trust will be your vote in favor of the 2nd amendment. Please know that I am, Sir, Yours for liberty, Floyd C. Bayne
